The Defense Commissary Agency has announced a major expansion of its delivery services, bringing same-day grocery delivery to military families at 75 installations nationwide. Same-day. From the commissary. If you’ve ever tried to squeeze a commissary run between picking up kids and making dinner, you understand why this matters.
The program, called CLICK2GO Express, allows authorized shoppers to place orders through the commissary website or mobile app and receive groceries at their doorstep within hours. That’s what makes this different from the previous curbside pickup option. They’re actually bringing it to you now.
“Military families are busy, and we want to make their lives easier,” said a DeCA spokesperson. “This service is especially valuable for dual-military families and those with deployed spouses managing households alone.”
95 per order, with no minimum purchase requirement. That’s actually reasonable when you factor in commissary savings and the value of your time. Active duty service members, retirees, and their dependents with valid commissary privileges are eligible.
Initial rollout locations include major installations such as Fort Liberty, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, and Naval Station Norfolk. The agency plans to expand to all commissary locations by the end of 2027. So if your base isn’t on the list yet, hang tight. It’s coming.
Families interested in the service can sign up through the commissary website and link their military ID for verification. The whole process takes maybe ten minutes to set up, and then you’re ordering groceries from your couch instead of wandering the aisles at peak hours.
